Chocolate Caramel Pretzels

We all know how delicious  Chocolate Covered Pretzels are.  But when you add Caramel to the mix and get Chocolate Caramel Pretzels, the taste is purely Heaven!

My friends at White Mountain Candy were sweet enough to send me some of these delicious treats to taste for myself.  I have never tried a Chocolate Caramel pretzel prior to this, but I have always loved Chocolate Covered Pretzels.

When popping this yummy treat into my mouth, my tastebuds immediately rejoiced.  The smooth caramel, decadent chocolate, and crunchiness of the pretzel was just such a wonderful combination.  It mixes the salty with the sweet to equal complete satisfaction!

White Mountain makes sure to fill each and every pretzel hole with creamy caramel, then dip it all in chocolate to create such perfection.  And don't forget the white chocolate drizzle on top!  Can you say YUM?

To compare it to candy you may be familiar with, I'd say Twix and Take 5's were the closest comparisons to this sweet treat.  Both of these candy bars have chocolate, caramel, and crunchiness.  The Take 5 actually has pretzels inside of it.

If you are a chocolate lover, you need to try these, they are just divine! Thank you White Mountain!

Gummy Pizzas & Gummy Burgers

Having a craving for Pizza and Burgers tonight?  Why not have a Gummy dinner party featuring Gummy Pizzas and Gummy Burgers!

Strike up the grill...

Preheat the oven....

And let's get this Gummy Dinner party started!

The Gummi Pizza has 5 slices of mouth watering gummy goodness!  It is the cutest mini pizza you have ever seen.  It has cheese, sauce, bell peppers, mushrooms, and tomatoes as toppings.  Each pizza is individually wrapped in its own cardboard box!

It is chewy, fluffy, smells fruity, and of course tastes fruity!  To me, its mildly sweet taste resembles a fruit snack.  As a pizza lover, I loved this candy, the idea of it is just genius!  I just had to pose with a slice :)

The Gummi Burger has a different taste than the Gummi Pizza, mainly because it is sour!  Although not too sour.

It tasted like the yellow and green piece was the most sour, the red and brown piece was the second most sour, and the top bun was the least sour.  The yellow and brown piece tasted a lot like a sour gummy worm.  The consistency wasn't as fluffy as the Gummi Pizza, it was definitely more chewy and less porous.

Let me just mention that it should be called the Gummi Veggie Burger, because there is no brown patty on it!  There are the two brown buns, lettuce, yellow cheese/mustard, and red ketchup.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer Veggie Burgers, that's why I loved this snack.  And you can eat it all at once or in pieces if you are one to pick apart your food!

Our friends over at Candy Direct were kind enough to make this Gummy Dinner Party possible.  The Gummi Pizza and Gummi Burgers are super colorful and cute.

Kids will finally get the chance to play with their food for once, without getting in trouble!  Even adults will love this fun idea, just look at the products and a smile will appear.  These are perfect for birthday parties, family fun nights, or any occasion!

Although I am a pizza lover, for my final decision, I'd have to go with the Gummi Burger because I'll choose sour over sweet any day

Big Hunk & Rocky Road Bars

Ever tried a Rocky Road or Big Hunk bar?  You should.  Love them?  I agree.  My friends over at Annabelle Candy were nice enough to send some over to me to try.  I had never had either of these candy bars before, but I definitely enjoyed them!  Here's what you need to know about them.

Let's start with the Rocky Road.

This was my personal favorite because I looove Marshmallows!  It tasted just like a S'more without the graham cracker, doubling up on the chocolate and marshmallow. Yum!  If you are a chocolate lover, you will love this!

Take a look at that bar!  Picture perfect.  The marshmallows give it a very fluffy and light texture.  The dark chocolate taste is very strong and rich and definitely hits the sweet spot and fills your tummy!

You can see what a big smile I had on while treating myself to the Rocky Road bar.  Try one yourself and you will have a big smile on just like me!

Ok, now onto the Big Hunk.

This chewy nougat includes roasted peanuts and a hint of honey.  It's sweet, but not super sweet and the peanuts do not overpower the bar.  It's smooth and rich with a marshmallowy taffy zing.  Look at that creamy sensation below with your own eyes to see how scrumptious it is!

I would say it's a mixture between a Nutrageous and a Charleston Chew, with a sprinkle of Heath bar, all inside a piece of taffy.  Four of those yummy flavors blasted into one bar!  If you love those types of candy, you will love these!  And the best part about it is that it's Low in Fat!  So grab a glass of milk and enjoy this peanutty taste, sans jelly!

And would you take a look at these Big Hunks holding their Big Hunks!  It's hard to know which is most scrumptious!

So go ahead, grab a Big Hunk and Rocky Road for yourself.  You will not be disappointed.  Thanks Annabelle Candy!!

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Martini

Happy Thirsty Thursday once again! I don't know about you all, but it feels like it took forever to get to Thirsty Thursday this week!  But, I have to say, I'm so glad it's finally here because we are making Chocolate Covered Strawberry Martinis tonight!

Ingredients
1 oz. Vanilla Vodka
1 oz. Chocolate liqueur
1/3 cup fresh Strawberries
1/2 cup half & half
Chocolate syrup

Instructions
Dip rim in chocolate sprinkles or chocolate chips, whichever your prefer.  Drizzle chocolate syrup in glass.  Puree strawberries in a food processor/blender.  Mix all ingredients in a shaker and shake, shake, shake!  Pour into glass. Garnish with strawberry.

Since this drink includes fresh strawberries, that means you're getting one daily serving of fruit with each drink you have right?! :)  But seriously, the fresh strawberries mixed with chocolate makes this drink fruity, and sweet, tasting just like those decadent Chocolate covered strawberries.  This drink is absolutely divine and it is good to the last drop!  It is perfect for special occasions like anniversaries or birthdays, or any day really!

Happy Thirsty Thursday! Cheers!

Candy Sushi

On the Dessert Menu tonight....Candy Sushi!  Here's a recipe that's FUN, SWEET, possibly SOUR, and DELICIOUS!  This is just the cutest idea and everyone will love it!  It's a perfect project to do with children as well, in fact, I know you will enjoy it as much as they do.

The Ingredients:
Fruit Roll-ups
Swedish Fish
Sour Worms or Sour Punch Straws
Rice Krispie Treats

Instructions:
-Unwrap Fruit Roll-ups and lay out on wax paper
-Keep Swedish Fish, Sour worms/Punch nearby
-Whip up a batch of Rice Krispie Treats (Recipe on Rice Krispie Box)
-The treats need to be warm and flexible during the process, so get ready to work quick
-After mixing ingredients, roll out with a rolling pin and make the treats nice and thin
-Place Rice Krispie Treats on top of Fruit Roll-ups, as if Fruit Roll-up is Seaweed
-Place 2 pieces of candy inside, I use Swedish Fish and Sour Worms and Sour Punch Staws, but Twizzlers, and other types of candy all work!
-Roll the Fruit Roll-up and Rice Krispie Treats around the candy to create the "Roll"
-Use knife to cut into pieces, place on a fun plate, and serve immediately!
To make this type, cut a small square of the Rice Krispie treat, top with one Swedish fish, and wrap with a piece of the Fruit Roll-up.

So, go ahead, throw a sushi party or put this on tonight's dessert menu, and ENJOY!
