Hot Cocoa Cookies

I don't know about you but I love baking throughout the holidays! I already participated in a cookie exchange this year and just made a fresh batch of Hot Cocoa cookies.  I wanted to try a new recipe that would delight others' taste buds and put them into the Christmas spirit.  Sitting by the tree and drinking hot cocoa is a fun tradition and pastime so why not make hot cocoa cookies and eat them tree side!?

There are quite a few ingredients and these aren't the type of cookies that require zero prep time but they're worth it, pinky swear!  This recipe makes about 3 dozen cookies.

Ingredients
1 Cup Marshmallows
1 Cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 Tsp Baking Powder
1 1/4 Baking Soda
1 Cup White Sugar
2/3 Cup Brown Sugar
1 1/4 Cup Butter
2 Eggs
1 Tsp. Vanilla
3 1/4 Cup Flour
4 Packs of Instant Hot Cocoa

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Melt butter in sauce pan
Once melted, mix sugar and butter into a bowl and stir until well mixed
In a separate bowl, mix hot cocoa mix, flour, baking powder, and baking soda until well mixed
Pour sugar and butter mixture into the flour mixture bowl and mix well
Add marshmallows and chocolate chips and continue to mix
Scoop tablespoon size mixture onto wax paper
Bake for 10 minutes
Cool and enjoy!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Marshmallow Krispy Cookies

Ho Ho Ho!  Tis the season for hot cocoa, wrapping presents, Christmas music, and cookie exchanges!  I went to a cookie exchange last weekend and made these Chocolate Peanut Butter Marshmallow Krispy Cookies and boy were they a hit!

First of all, let me tell you that these are NO BAKE and are probably one of the most delicious cookies you have ever tasted.  Who doesn't love chocolate and peanut butter together!

These cookies are the perfect mix of salty, crunchy, and sweet.  The chocolate and peanut butter are very smooth and rich, the marshmallows are fluffy, and mixing that with crunchy peanuts and Rice Krispies is an all in one delicious bite!  There's only 5 ingredients and all you have to do is melt the chocolate and stir in the rest of the ingredients and you're all set!

Ingredients

2 containers of Chocolate Candy Dips (Found in the baking section of grocery stores)

1/2 Cup Peanut Butter

1/2 Cup Dry Roasted Peanuts

1.25 Cups Marshmallows

2 Cups Rice Krispies

Instructions

1. Heat chocolate candy dips and stir on stove until completely melted

2. Add Peanut Butter, Peanuts, Marshmallows, and Rice Krispies after the chocolate has melted
3.  Stir until everything is mixed extremely well
4.  Scoop up mix with a TBSP and drop small ball shape cookies onto wax paper
5. Put cookies in refrigerator to harden
6.  Enjoy!

Grinch Kabobs

Merry Grinchmas and Happy Who-Lidays!  Even though he's a mean one, I'll always love the Grinch because in the end, we learn that his heart is full of love, joy, and happiness!  So in his honor, it's time to make Grinch Kabobs!

They're sweet, fruity, festive, and couldn't be easier to prepare!  I showed up at an ugly sweater party with these and they were such a big hit.  Make sure you add this to your list for your upcoming Christmas parties and you'll be the most popular Who in Whoville!

Ok, now it's time to get down to the basics.

Supplies

Strawberries

Green grapes

Bananas

Marshmallows

Toothpicks

Instructions

1.  Take the grapes off to stem and wash them

2. Wash strawberries and cut off the stem

3.  Make sure the strawberry is no bigger than 1.5 inches high (sized to fit on a toothpick with the rest of my the ingredients) so cut additional slices off until you've reached the right size

4. Slice bananas into small slices

5. Take the toothpick and stack in this order: grape, banana, strawberry (and marshmallow on top!)

6. Repeat step 5 over and over again until you have a whole community of Grinch kabobs

7.  Enjoy and share with all of your fellow Whos!

I had so much fun making and eating these with my Who friends.  Yahoo Dorray!!
