Gummy Alphabet Letters

A-B-C, it's easy as 1-2-3!

You'll never have as much playing with your food as you will when you eat some Haribo Alphabet Letters!  My first time trying these letters was this week, thanks to Temptation Candy for sending them my way! I had so much fun eating and playing with the letters that it made me feel like a kid again, learning how to spell while eating alphabet soup!

The Haribo Alphabet Letters come in many different flavors, just like your beloved gummy bears from Haribo.  Just think about how good each bite tastes when you devour a gummy bear, and this flavor is ten times more!  The more you chew, the juicier they become.  These candies are just extra large gummy bears in letter form!

The flavors include lemon, passion fruit, lime, cherry, and orange.  Of course, my favorite was the yellow gummy because I love lemon so much.

These gummies are delicious on their own, but are a super cute idea for a baby shower, proposals, or birthday parties.  Put the in a goodie bag or on top of a cupcake and enjoy!  Everyone will love them because they are so fun and make you feel like a kid again.  And if you are a kid, eating these letters are the one time you'll be able to play with your food and have it be educational!

They also can be used as an award for good behavior for kids, and it's a great way to teach them how to read and write!

Such a fun, delicious, and educational candy!  The gummies are so yummy, thanks Temptation Candy!

Raspberry Jelly Pretzels

Ever taken a bite into a chewy pretzel? I hadn't either until just recently!  The sweeties over at Temptation Candy sent some Raspberry Jelly Pretzels my way to taste and review, and here's what I thought:

They look appetizing - I love pretzels and sour gummies, so mixed together, it's two of my favorite snacks.  Just note that this pretzel was covered with sugar, and not salt!  Anything that's in pretzel form is always a crowd pleaser.

They are sweet, and not sour - When I first bit into the Raspberry Jelly Pretzel, I expected a sour taste because of all of the sugar on top, but this candy is definitely just sweet with no ounce of sour!  The juicy taste of Raspberry, which could also pass for Strawberry, was evident in every chewy bite.

They are addicting - You can't eat just one.  These sweet and chewy pretzels are perfect for an afternoon sugary snack.  Since they aren't super sour, you can keep eating them and your tastebuds will be thanking you that they aren't sore like they would be from eating a whole pack of sour candy.  There's no aftertaste when you eat these, and no aftertaste is a good thing!

All in all, I liked these sugary treats.  It's like a gum drop meets a pretzel.  Two totally different snacks that totally work well together when mixed!

Thanks Temptation Candy for sharing this sweet creation with The Sweetest Temptations!  They're super tempting!

Mother's Day Candy

Happy Mother's Day to all you Moms!  I hope each and every one of you enjoys your day and is treated like a queen all day long!

For those of you who are not moms, make sure you wish other moms a Happy Mother's Day and go out your way to pamper your mom or another mom by cooking her food, baking her cupcakes, sending a package, giving her a card...do ANYTHING to make her day!

I ended up getting my Mom this delicious gift basket above from FTD.com, since she loves chocolate!  It's the perfect gift that she can enjoy and share with others!  Since I wasn't able to spend this special day with my mom this year, this was shipped to her house and made her day!

Always remember that it's the little things that count. You can tape a lollipop onto a card for your mom, spell I love you out on her plate in gummy letters, bake her cupcakes, or simply do anything that's easy and sweet!  She will appreciate the effort and thank you for it.

So go out there, pick up a card and a box of candy, surprise her with it, and make her day!!

Happy Mother's Day to my mom and all of the wonderful moms out there. Enjoy your day, you deserve it!!

Rocky Road S'mores Bar

It's a rocky, rocky, old Rocky Road...but wait, they're S'mores!!!  You wanna know more?!  The awesome folks at Annabelle Candy made me feel super sweet when they let me walk right up that rocky road into their inner circle and allowed me to try their newest product, Rocky Road S'mores Bars! It's their hot new product that I got my hands on even before these babies hit the store shelves!  And let me tell you, once they do, you have to get your hands on some!

Just like the original Rocky Road bars, these two are covered in a milk chocolate shell.  But, not only is it filled with fluffy, marshmallow gooey goodness, there's also graham crackers and cashews packed into this bar of deliciousness.  Take a bite, and you'll feel like you're surrounded by your loved ones and sitting by the fire pit, making S'mores.  It's so chocolatey, marshmallowy, savory, and amazing!  If you're a S'mores lover like me, you'll love these.

I did do an experiment and froze a bar to see what it'd taste like.  To me, it was a completely different experience.  Biting into this bar gave my taste buds a more pronounced graham cracker and nutty taste.  Instead of a fluffy, smooth, and chewy bar, there was a crunch to it.  It wasn't as obvious to my taste buds that there were cashews in the bar when it was eaten at it's normal state, as the marshmallow and chocolate were the more prominent tastes.

I'd recommend eating these bars both ways because each way is delicious, but in totally contrasting ways.  You're bound to enjoy them at it's natural state and frozen.  Who doesn't love a frozen chocolate bar? And who doesn't love a chewy and full of fluff S'mores bar?  They're perfect for a dessert at any time of the day.  They are filling though so be prepared!

Thanks to Annabelle Candy for sharing the wealth and letting me in on this new, delicious product that I love!

Edible Easter Baskets

Hippity Hoppity Easter's on its way! This year, instead of buying an Easter basket, make an Edible Easter Basket!  Good Housekeeping knows what's up, and this was their lovely idea.

Ingredients:

Ice cream cones
Jelly Beans
Green Apple Twizzlers

Instructions:

Cut two small holes on the side of the ice cream cones, but be careful so you don't crack the whole cone!
Sort jelly beans by color, or don't, and fill the cone with jelly beans
Take a green apple Twizzler, cut it to the appropriate size, and stick each end into the holes on the side of the cone

Use as a decoration or give to your loved ones right away to enjoy.  It's definitely an easy edible craft that kids will enjoy making and eating!

Happy Hoppy Easter!

Chocolate Crema Eggs

Move over Cadbury Eggs, because this year, the Easter bunny will be delivering Chocolate Crema Eggs instead from Truffle Truffle!  And lucky for me, the Easter Bunny sent some of these eggs over for me to try before they end up in Easter baskets all over the world next week!  The package arrived in this cute, dainty box:

There were four different types of truffle eggs for me to divulge into.  The first was passion fruit covered in a milk chocolate shell.  As you can imagine, this egg was fruity, and super sweet.  I tend to like super sweet, fruity, and tart flavors so this was my second favorite.

The next was raspberry flavored.  This eggshell was made out of dark chocolate but once you bit into it, you tasted burst of raspberry.  The flavor was strong and tart.  This egg is good for those who love sweet and fruity flavors.

Thirdly, I bit into the fresh mint.  Once I cracked open the dark chocolate shell, the spearmint and super minty flavor engulfed my taste buds.  It was like I was a girl scout again eating my thin mint cookies.  I'm a mint fan in general so I enjoyed this egg, and green is also my favorite color.  You can just look at the photo below and your mouth will water!

And last but not least, there was the triple chocolate.  This was my favorite!  It's rich and creamy milk chocolate egg shell mixed with the milk chocolate and cream inside, plus the shortbread taste and is what put the icing on top of the cake.  Any chocolate lover will love this!  It was sweet and included the perfect amount of chocolate.

Each egg had the perfect balance of smooth and crunchy.  There was a buttery shortbread crust at the bottom that resembled a graham cracker crust.  All in all, all four flavors were delicious and I'd eat them out of my Easter basket any day!

Thanks to the Truffle Truffle Easter Bunny for letting me sample these right before Easter!  These are approved by The Sweetest Temptations and if you're lucky, they'll be arriving in your Easter baskets next week!

Happy Easter Everyone!  Enjoy your Chocolate Creama Eggs!

Peeps love the Pope

Today 3/13/13, as the white smoke rose from the Sistine Chapel, the new Pope was elected. Congrats to the new Pope, Pope Francis! He was elected at the perfect time, right before Easter.  I saw this adorable picture on Peeps' Facebook page and just had to blog about it!  So cute. Time to throw a welcome party for Pope Francis with me and all of my PEEPS! ;)

God Bless Pope Francis!
