Bride to Be Candy Basket

Wedding planning is fun, always very busy, and can get hectic at times.  There's so many things to constantly check off your to-do list, people to call, invitations to send, and favors to pick out.  I love being a Bride to Be and am enjoying my engagement to the fullest.  I cannot wait for the big day

It's always fun to receive parcels in the mail.  Who doesn't love a brown box addressed in your name?  I love getting packages and when one came addressed to "Chelley Candy" from Candy Crate, I was so excited to open it!  I thought it was Easter candy for me to review but to my surprise, it was an adorable Bride to Be Candy Basket!

It was so thoughtful of Candy Crate to send this and I was so genuinely happy when I opened the box and saw my Bridal surprise that I couldn't stop smiling.  The basket was filled with wedding related candy including the following:

Candy Garter - Let me tell you, I definitely want to wear the Candy Garter at my wedding, we'll just have to see if I can wait that long to eat it myself!

Heart Shaped Lollipops - Two tiny scrumptious lollipop hearts!

Ring Pop - Who doesn't love to flash that big bling on your finger!

Sugar Daddy - Everyone needs a $ugar daddy in their life!

Big Hunk Bars - Delicious and totally describes my groom to be!

White Jordan Almonds - Almonds taste bittersweet so when mixed with candy sugarcoating, the tradition is to wish a newlywed's marriage to be more sweet than bitter!

White and Silver wrapped Hard Candies - Lemon flavor in the silver wrapper and a butterscotch taste in the white wrapper that was creamy and smooth!

Just Married Candy Rolls - The Just Married symbol is subtle but once you notice it it's so cute!  I thought they were mints at first and then tasted the sweet rolls and to my surprise they tasted like Smarties!

When I get married, I know I want to have a candy buffet at my wedding.  I know the guests will love it and know how sweet love is!  I cannot wait!

Thank you to Candy Crate for making this Bride to Be so happy!  I loved this sweet surprise and all of the wedding related scrumptious candies!  So sweet of you!

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Cookie Kit

There's not many people who don't love the combination of peanut butter and chocolate.  Kimber's Cookies brings those two delicious flavors together in an easy to make cookie kit that makes three dozen cookies!  The design on the kit is so cute.  I loved the font and colors and the fun, simple, and easy instructions on the back.

Ingredients
1 Egg

1 C Unsalted Butter

2 Tsp. Vanilla

Instructions
1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Mix Package 1 with 1 cup of melted unsalted butter (2 sticks)
3. Mix in 1 large egg and 2 teaspoons of vanilla
4.  Add in package 2 and 3 and stir

5.  Roll dough up into small balls and placed on engrossed cookie sheet
6.  Bake 12-16 minutes
7.  Cool and enjoy!

These cookies are fun to make on a night in with friends and the perfect dessert!  They're crunchy with just the right amount of chewiness and have a great texture.  Once again, the peanut butter and chocolate chip combo wins!

How I (Ring) POPped the question!

On 12.24.14 my life changed forever for the better. My boyfriend of 7 years popped the question and pulled off the most amazing surprise proposal.  There was no detail unthought of and he gave me the most amazing proposal story to tell for years to come.  He involved my whole family, asking both my parents and siblings for their blessing to marry me almost two months before the proposal.   I could not have been happier with my proposal story and it was everything I've ever dreamed of.  Christmas Eve is one of my favorite days of the year, I love getting into the holiday spirit, and of course my family and now fiancĂ© mean the world to me so given the season and everyone involved it was absolutely perfect!

After my fiancĂ© proposed to me the wedding planning immediately began and I chose my bridesmaids quickly, but knew I had to ask them to stand by my side in a creative way.  Being that I love candy, I of course wanted to involve candy in some way.  I decided I'd use Ring Pops and "propose" to my favorite ladies by popping the question.  I went everywhere to find the perfect gift box they would open and finally found the perfect ones.  I stuffed the boxes with tissue paper and gold confetti, and printed out a note saying "Plan with me, stand with me, cry with me, laugh with me, will you be my bridesmaid/matron of honor/flower girl?"

(My flower girl and I showing off our bling!)

I topped off the box with sparkly and shiny ribbons, and was able to ask 6 out of my 7 bridesmaids and my flower girl in person.  They all loved the idea and all said yes!  There were many tears, smiles, excitement, and hugs.  It was awesome.  They loved their Ring Pops, especially my flower girl.  I can't wait for them all to be by my side on my big day!
