Grapevines by Redvines
I know you all know of Redvines, but did you know that the American Licorice Company makes Grapevines?!? This came as a complete shock to me, as I've never seen those purple twists in stores or heard of anything of the sort through the Grapevine! I follow @Redvines on Twitter and they recently tweeted about Grapevines and then offered to send me some and I happily accepted! I'm sure glad that I did!
When they arrived, I immediately loved the name of the product and the purple hue. It's something about the purple that made the whole experience new and fun. As soon as I took a bite, I recognized the texture of the beloved Redvines, both chewy and hollow little twists. Grapevines looks the same as the original Redvines, but are purple! Upon taking my first bite, some bystanders nearby immediately commented and asked what I was eating and why it was purple, and were intrigued. They thought it may be black licorice, but when I told them it was a Grapvine, they immediately wanted a taste and the consensus was an overall thumbs up!
There was a hint of grape flavor, but it was not overpowering. Biting into the Grapevine was chewy and tasty, and the slight scent of grape engulfs you when eating it. The taste is definitely different from the original Redvines and is worth a try. They're fun to look at, wave around, and of course, eat! They're extremely flexible, twisty, and easy to eat. They also make great straws, I'd recommend drinking a sprite out of the Grapvine for a delicious concoction. Thanks to my friends at Redvines for letting me try this great and delicious snack of theirs, now it's your turn to try them!

National Lollipop Day
July 20th is National Lollipop Day! What's your favorite? Circle, square, big, or small? I'd have to say mine are the big Whirly Pops. They are so colorful, huge, fun to look at, and eat!
What are you doing to celebrate? Why not head over to See's Candy for a free lollipop in honor of today! All stores nationwide are giving them out.
I'm trying to think of how many lollipops I've had in my life and have no idea where to start to count. I'd say definitely a few hundred! Although they are not my most favorite candy of all time, watermelon, classic lemon, and cotton candy are absolutely enjoyable!
Remember how cool it was to get a free lollipop at the bank? It actually still is cool! In honor of today, I've included my 5 favorite photos of me posing with the lollies, and coincidentally, all in Vegas! Sugar Factory and Lick! Time to celebrate in style!
Happy National Lollipop Day!!
