Chocolate Martini

Happy Thirsty Thursday!  It's been quite awhile since we at the Sweetest Temptations have blogged about a chocolate concoction.  In that case, you can bring the chocolate factory to you one sip at a time by drinking the Chocolate Martini.  Get ready to rejoice chocolate lovers!

I wonder if the chocolate river that Augustus Galoop got stuck in was made up of a huge mix of Chocolate martinis?  Maybe that would explain why he couldn't stay afloat.

Here are the ingredients for making this sweet sensation.

2 oz. Vanilla flavored Vodka
1/2 oz. Chocolate Liqueur
1/2 oz. White Creme de Cacao
Chocolate syrup

Instructions

Drizzle chocolate syrup inside glass and on the glass rim.  Mix ingredients in a shaker with ice and strain into martini glass.

Enjoy this drink with friends and perhaps you can watch Willy Wonka (the original version) as well!  It's super easy to make, tastes sweet, and is fun to sip! :)

Have a wonderful Thirsty Thursday!!!!

Gobstopper Martini

One of the best movies any sweet tooth can watch is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.  One of the first things that always comes to mind when thinking about that movie is the Everlasting Gobstopper.  Luckily, we have the opportunity to get a little taste of the chocolate factory any day we want by popping a colorful Gobstopper in our mouth.

Can't get enough of that everlasting taste a Gobstopper gives off?  This Gobstopper Martini will give you that extraordinary, everlasting taste.  So get up and make yourself one, because it is afterall, THIRSTY THURSDAY!

Here's the ingredients:

1 oz Vodka
1 oz Watermelon Pucker
1 oz Hpnotiq
1 oz Sweet & Sour mix

Instructions

Mix all ingredients in martini shaker.  Add ice and shake, shake, shake, then pour.  Embellish your drink with Gobstoppers in the glass.

This drink is delectable.  It is also very dangerous because it tastes so good.  It's very sweet and melts in your mouth just like the Gobstopper candies.  Definitely try it.  Bottoms up!  Happy Thirsty Thursday!!

Candy Poems

Do you like poetry?  I know all of you have written a poem once in your life.  Just think back to third grade when your teacher made you write a Haiku or Sonnet.  But have you ever written a poem about Candy?
About 2 months ago, I put my sweet thinking cap on, grabbed a pen and paper, and tried this myself for the first time.  I got this genius idea when I found out that The Sweet Factory, a huge company that provides smiles everyday to their loyal sweet toothed customers, had a contest going on to see who could write the best Candy poem.

I of course, really wanted to win, and my scrumptious poem sure did make me a winner!  The only requirements were to use candy names in the poem.  Here's my winning masterpiece that won me $50 to The Sweet Factory. I ran straight to this place as soon as my prize arrived! Yum!

Every time I see my love my face gets Red Hot, my hands become Butterfingers and my Conversation Heart beats a whole lot.

I can't help but give out Kisses and Hugs as we gaze at the Milky Way and Starbursts when we're all snug.

To me my love's sweeter than a Sweettart, but some say he's a Sour Patch Kid at heart.

We love to travel to the Watchamacallit place
you have to had heard, don't Laffy Taffy at us but we are really big Nerds

Some may Snicker some may think we're Nutrageous, but just know our love is worth more than 100 grand and is very contagious!

If you have yet to put your poetry skills to use by writing about your all time favorite candy, you need to try it, it's so fun!  Just think of a storyline, throw in a few rhymes, and include all your favorite candies!  Feel free to share your poems!  Thanks to The Sweet Factory for making me a winner!

S'mores Martini

Is it really Thirsty Thursday already?!  Start your weekend off right by gathering all your friends and enjoying a bonfire on the beach.  This time let's do things a little bit differently though.  Instead of eating a S'more, try sipping a S'mores Martini!

It's fun, and delicious, and ever so chocolatey!  It truly does taste like eating a warm and gooey S'more.  Definitely a fan favorite!  Do you remember all the times you ate S'mores as a kid when dusk hit those warm summer nights?

Here's what you need to whip up this chocolate marshmallowy delight:

Ingredients
2 oz. Chocolate flavored Vodka
2 oz. White Chocolate liqueur
Chocolate Syrup
Marshmallow Creme

Instructions
Drizzle chocolate syrup in a martini glass.  Shake vodka and liqueur over ice and pour into glass.  Dip the rim of the glass with marshmallow creme then coat with crushed graham crackers.  Place marshmallow on skewer in cocktail.

Trust me, everyone you know will love this martini and you absolutely must all cheers to Thirsty Thursday with this glass of delight!  One, two, three, CHEERS!
